Art Deco poster of The Reel

For every video idea stuck between the script and the timeline.

Record the voice, drop the clips, get the film.

I make videos for my projects, and the editing used to eat whole evenings. The editor I paid for every month did far more than I needed, at a price I no longer wanted to pay.

The Reel turns a voiceover and a folder of raw clips into a finished MP4. Each sentence of the voiceover becomes one shot, cut exactly where the sentence ends. The clips play in the order I filmed them, the music sits softly under the voice, and the film lasts exactly as long as my narration.

Around that core, it walks me through the whole production in clear steps:

  • A teleprompter that records my voice, with phonetic hints under the words I find hard to pronounce.
  • A recording check that spots missing or repeated sentences before the edit.
  • Transitions, chapter titles, a subscribe animation and an end logo, each one optional.
  • Clean sound, with noise reduction and loudness levelling.
  • One format per platform: YouTube, Shorts, Reels, TikTok or LinkedIn.

Built with Python, FFmpeg, Whisper and Claude Code, and styled like an Art Deco cinema premiere.

Now my evenings go to the story, and the editing follows on its own.

Running on my computer, ready for my next videos.
